New Nokia N900 Review And Details
N900 or Nokia Rover as some call it, is a first new internet tablet by Nokia that is based on Linux platform Maemo 5. The reference software is Maemo 5, an open-source solution daughter of the GNOME project. The Nokia N900 integrates an ARM Cortex-A8 processor, up to 1GB of memory for applications and graphics acceleration OpenGL ES 2.0.

After seeing the first screenshots of its graphical interface, that’s now the technical specifications of the Nokia N900 Rover, the next internet tablet house in Finland. Large 111 x 59.7 x 18.2 mm and weighing 180 grams, has a large touchscreen display 3.5 “with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The camera, however, shoot photos up to 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash.
The operating system that should govern is called Maemo, while browsing the network is guaranteed by the protocol HSDPA and WiFi. The internal memory of 32 MB is expandable through microSD cards. Among other features bear a OMAP 3430 processor at 500 MHz, 1 GB of RAM, GPS and accelerometer. The official launch should take place in October at a price not announced.
The N900 appears to be very close to the aesthetics of the Nokia N97. It features a 3.5 inch touchscreen and a sliding QWERTY keyboard, but the resolution is higher with 800 × 480. Below are the complete features of the beast.

Nokia N900 Display Screen Video
The new Nokia phone is always amazing, especially given the development of this operating system (Maemo) open source Linux-based. However, its restricted diffusion could hit them. A good phone should also have high regard by companies developing software and accessories, otherwise the buyer is likely to be disappointed by the product after a few months after purchase. One of the trump cards of Apple and Google was just the high availability of software for these operating systems. We’ll see how Nokia will continue its development.
The N900 will cost 500 euros and goes on sale during the fourth quarter of this year.
